This year’s Devcon is a unique event with various special features. Over the past three years, we have worked hard to create a new and improved experience based on the feedback and lessons learned from previous Devcons. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, we have taken inspiration from the community and implemented new initiatives. Devcon VI introduced Community Hubs and Devcon Improvement Proposals (DIPs), as well as a Public Goods Supporters Program to replace traditional sponsorships. Additionally, we are excited to announce the introduction of Impact Booths in Bogotá.
Allow us to introduce you to our Impact teams. In previous years, booths were only available to teams with large budgets who could afford sponsorship packages. However, this year we have reserved booths for teams that have made a high impact on the Ethereum ecosystem, regardless of their budgets. At Devcon VI, Impact Booths will showcase client teams, those working to improve Ethereum’s infrastructure, public goods initiatives, roll-up projects, and other selected high-impact projects.
The Devcon Supporters Program acknowledges recent contributors to Ethereum-related public goods. We have received overwhelming support for Ethereum from stakeholders in various industries. Instead of traditional sponsorships, we introduced this program and want to extend our special thanks to the teams that participated. Their contributions to initiatives such as the ETHColombia Quadratic Funding Round @ Devcon, Gitcoin, CLR.Fund’s open grants, and the Protocol Guild (which supports core Ethereum research and development) deserve recognition. We would also like to express our gratitude towards the teams and DAOs that joined our Supporter Program this year, even without all the typical benefits expected from sponsors. Their support for the Ethereum ecosystem has been invaluable.
And now, we are delighted to announce the participants of the Devcon Supporter Program. Please join us in welcoming Aave, Chainlink (Smartcontract), ConsenSys, Element Finance, EY, Lens, OP Labs PBC, Polygon, Smart Token Labs, Status, and Swarm Foundation. We would also like to extend our thanks to Ambire, Anoma, Blockdaemon, Hashkey, imToken, Lido, MyEtherWallet, OpenZeppelin, Safe (formerly Gnosis Safe), Santiment, Starkware, Tenderly Technologies Inc., and Thesis for their contributions. Additionally, we recognize Arbitrum/Offchain Labs, ChainSafe, Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA), Livepeer, Meson Network, Push Protocol (formerly Ethereum Push Notification Service), Radicle, Upshot, and all other participating teams Alpha Virtual, Alt Research, Cartesi, Celo, Digital Finance Group, Evmos, Fenbushi Capital, Fireeyes, Gitcoin DAO, IOSG Ventures, Metis, Orchid, Pokt Network, Rocket Pool, Skale Labs, Spacemesh, Trapesys, and W3bCloud for their support.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to each of these incredible teams for their unwavering support and dedication to the Ethereum ecosystem. We look forward to seeing you in Bogotá! – Devcon team 🦄
