Devconnect Amsterdam: April 18th-25th, 2022

In our previous post, we provided information about Devconnect, a week-long gathering that aims to bring the Ethereum community together through independent events focused on specific subjects. To learn more, visit Devconnect.org.

We are thrilled to announce the dates for Devconnect in Amsterdam as April 18-25, 2022. As we closely monitor the evolving COVID measures in Amsterdam, we are making quick progress in organizing the event. We want to share more details about what you can expect in Amsterdam.

Devconnect’s schedule will feature independently hosted and curated events by experts in various domains, as they aim to enhance Ethereum. To ensure productivity, some events will have smaller audiences, allowing relevant experts in specific domains to focus on their work. The organizers of each session will handle most aspects, including ticketing. You can check the updated schedule on Devconnect.org for any additions.

Here are a few types of summits scheduled for Devconnect:

– ETH Day: Hosted by Ethereum Amsterdam on April 18, 2022, this event will showcase the latest Ethereum developments.
– Layer Two Amsterdam: L2BEAT will hold a two-day technical conference dedicated to Ethereum L2 Scaling from April 19 to April 20, 2022.
– Web2 -> Web3 Dev Bootcamp: ChainShot will introduce Web2 developers to Web3 tools and smart contracts on April 20-21, 2022.
– ETHconomics: The Robust Incentives Group will delve into the economics of Ether on April 21, 2022.
– DeFi Day: Presented by Ethereum Amsterdam, this event will focus on the world of decentralized finance, covering various topics on infrastructure, risk management, governance, and more (date to be announced).
– Staking Gathering: ETHStaker will host a gathering for those interested in ETH staking, including newcomers, experienced stakers, developers, and community members (April 19-21, 2022).
– Web3 UX Unconference: The Ethereum UX Community will facilitate discussions on topics like sign-in with Ethereum, L2 onboarding, staking, and more (April 20, 2022).
– Security is Key: Secureum will organize an intimate event focusing on Ethereum security, particularly smart contract security (April 21-22, 2022).
– ETHAmsterdam Hackathon: ETHGlobal will host a hackathon where participants can collaborate and develop innovative ETH-based applications (April 22-24, 2022).
– Build an ETH dapp in 7 hours: BuildSpace will offer a day for Web2 developers to learn and build Ethereum dApps (date to be announced).
– Layer 1 Research Event: The EF Research Team will hold a two-day meeting focused on Layer 1 research topics (April 18-19, 2022).
– Global Governance Gathering: DAOist will facilitate coordination between DAOs and discuss governance-related topics (April 18-19, 2022).
– Schelling Point – Amsterdam: Gitcoin will explore narratives related to Ethereum, self-sovereignty, coordination technology, and more (April 21, 2022).
– Solidity Summit: The Solidity Team will present talks and discussions on Solidity, language design, and tooling (April 20, 2022).
– Formal Verification hangout: The FV team and their peers will have open discussions and small breakout sessions regarding formal verification (April 18, 2022).
– Web2 to Web3 Class: 0xHack and TrueFi will host a focused bootcamp to teach Web2 developers the necessary skills for Web3 (date to be announced).
– Dark Forest, Ember, and Friends: D.E.F.C.O.N: 0xPARC will provide opportunities for building, playing, and hacking crypto-native games (April 19, 2022).
– Gathering of Ethereum Magicians: Ethereum Magicians Council will focus on solving coordination issues within Ethereum core and infrastructure improvements (April 23-24, 2022).
– AppliedZK Showcase: 0xPARC and Applied ZKP Team will facilitate knowledge transfer and demonstrate the importance of applied ZK technology (April 23-24, 2022).

At the Devconnect Co-Work space, hosted by the Devconnect team, attendees can work, relax, collaborate, and energize. The space offers tables, wifi, outlets, comfortable areas for relaxation, meeting rooms for informal discussions, and light snacks and drinks. It is open to all Devconnect attendees looking to work together and socialize during breaks.
